AI that does the slow part

AI

AI moment finder

Ranks the strongest stretches of a long video with a reason for each, or describe a moment and jump to it.

AI

Remove silences

Cuts every pause in a podcast in one click. Undo if you want one back.

AI

Auto captions and translation

Generate captions, edit any line, style them with five fonts and four styles, and translate them with AI into other languages.

Framing and formats

Six layouts

Vertical, split, trio, spotlight, centered or horizontal, with free-size crops.

Per-part framing

Give each part of a clip its own framing, and copy one framing across parts.

Animated crop

Keyframes pan the crop between speakers like a camera operator.

Every format

9:16 for Reels, Shorts and TikTok, 4:5 for feeds, 1:1 for square posts and 16:9 for YouTube, from one edit.

Green screen and backgrounds

Key out green, then put a color, gradient, image or video behind you.

Color looks

Vivid, Warm, Cool, Cinema and Mono, or fine-tune brightness, contrast and warmth.

Editing that stays simple

A real timeline

Select and Razor tools, Split, Delete and Ripple delete, with snapping.

8 transitions

Cross dissolve, dips, wipe, slide, push, zoom and blur between cuts.

Music and sound effects

Volume, fades and loop for every track. Music ducks automatically when someone speaks.

Stickers, logos and text

Place your logo and handle anywhere on the frame and add text on top.

Undo and saved work

Undo and redo every step, and pick up your edit where you left off.

Quick mode on phones

On a phone the editor opens in Quick mode: cut, frame, add captions, text and your logo, then export.

Pro tools when you need them

Switch on Pro tools for After Effects style control, and switch them off again for a clean view. Familiar shortcuts work too: P, S, R, T, A, U, J, K and F9.

Pro tools

Layers

Stack, reorder and drag layers on the timeline, including picture-in-picture with a second video.

Pro tools

Keyframes

Animate position, scale, rotation, opacity and anchor point with Easy Ease, Linear and Hold.

Pro tools

Masks

Rectangle, rounded or ellipse masks with feather, expansion and invert, on any layer, and animatable.

Private by design

Your video is opened and edited inside your browser, and exports are made on your own device, so there is no upload to wait for and your raw footage is never stored by us. For auto captions, only the audio is sent, in short pieces, to make the captions, and it isn't kept.

See it on your own video

Use every tool free on videos up to 15 minutes, with a watermarked preview. No credit card needed.

FAQ

Which video files work?

MP4, MOV and WEBM. Landscape (16:9) recordings give the most framing options, and MP4 with H.264 is the most compatible.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. On a phone the editor opens in Quick mode and suits videos up to about 700 MB. For the full timeline, keyframes and layers, and for long recordings, use an iPad or Chrome or Edge on a computer.

Which browsers work best?

Chrome and Edge give the smoothest editing and the most export formats. Safari and Firefox work too, with MP4 (H.264) files.

Is Pixtale Edits an OpusClip alternative?

Yes. Like OpusClip it finds clip-worthy moments in long videos, and it adds a full timeline editor with per-part framing, keyframes, layers, masks, music and sound effects, so you can finish the clip in the same place.
